This school is awesome! I attended one of their recent programs and it was amazing. As a woman you can really feel vulnerable sometimes – especially in circumstances that you are not familiar with. The instructor really is knowledgeable, patient and very supportive giving lots of practical strategies for dealing with awkward/tricky/dangerous situations. I came away hugely confident in dealing with day to day situations and also critical or scary incidents. I was also much fitter and happier in myself. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for skills to get out of unwanted circumstances, or for anyone looking to build up their confidence, stamina or fitness. If you take one of the courses you will be grateful and amazed. I know that I sure was.

It is easy to see why this school is number 1 in the area. Certified Master Instructors, an international magazine, radio and TV Show. Featured in 3 martial arts documentaries. Choosing this school is a no-brainer.

I have had the pleasure of training under Grand Master Richard Hackworth & the awesome Masters at American Dragon Martial Arts Academies for about 6 years. It is my pleasure to also be a part of such a school as I have learned not only about traditional Martial Arts & Weaponry but also have gained a “family” of wonderful people!

We love American Dragon! The instructors are fabulous and give each person individualized attention. In addition to traditional martial arts training, they also teach self-defense and how to deal with bullies for the little ones, which is so needed today. They emphasize self-discipline and respect with the kids. My son has gotten so much self confidence from just 6 months of classes.

After wasting a few years at other schools I can tell you that the adult self defense class here is as real as it gets. Grand Master Hackworth is a really supportive instructor that genuinely cares about the students. I am SO lucky to have found this class. Please note that Grand Master Hackworth does not allow just anyone to train at the class. His facility is a private one and you have to call him to get to visit. This class has changed my life for the better as I am not so scared all the time. Please, don’t hesitate to attend this class, it’s amazing.

Having been a Black Belt for more than 18 years I can say that I was surprised that Grand Master Hackworth, the owner and senior instructor at American Dragon Martial Arts has skills I have NEVER seen before. I an not easy to impress but you have my complete respect.
